It's kind of obvious now that the cable that support updates is using the STM32F405 and has a new PCB layout/design. VCDS Hex-V2 with main chip STM32F405VGT6 works with VII Plus Loaderĭifferent PCBAnd it will stay this way "forever" yes? Who makes the VIIPlusLoader for updating the cable? Someone active on this forum? Just find it strange that the clone that support upgrade is based on the 405 and not the 415 ![]() The rest of the chip is empty so plenty of space for more code etcīy looking at the pictures I have of the original VCDS cable it looks like it uses the STM32F415 chip. Second firmware uses the same vector table as the first one so reset vector points into the first and could therefore not be executed at this location 0x08040000. Second firmware is more or less identical to the first one except for a few bytes changed (9 bytes in total) Perhaps this is a backup firmware of the first one in case something should happen. ![]() The firmware is pretty small in size of only 74KB and there is a second firmware at sector 6. ![]() ![]() Gah! that took some time!) and extracted the firmware from it. I have dumped the whole chip (1Meg in total.
